Great Wolf Lodge (Indoor Water Park)

Great Wolf Lodge in Webster is the Houston area's year-round indoor water park, a huge, climate-controlled resort that opened in August 2024 just off the Gulf Freeway near the Clear Lake / NASA area, southeast of downtown. Because it's fully indoors and kept warm, it's as much a rainy-day or winter option as a summer one.

Great Wolf Lodge Texas Gulf Coast is at 1000 Great Wolf Way, Webster, TX 77598, about 25 miles southeast of downtown Houston along I-45. It's the second Great Wolf Lodge in Texas, after the one in Grapevine near Dallas.

What it is

Great Wolf is a hotel-and-water-park resort built for families. The indoor water park is the centerpiece, a wave pool, water slides, a splash-and-play structure for younger kids, and warm-water areas, and the building wraps in themed kid suites, restaurants, a kids' activity zone, an arcade, and other attractions, so it's designed as a one-stop overnight getaway.

Day pass vs. overnight stay

Water-park access at Great Wolf is primarily for overnight, registered guests, with the wristband included in a room stay. Standalone day passes are sometimes offered, but availability is limited and varies by date, so don't assume you can simply walk up and buy one. Good for which ages

It's aimed at families with kids roughly toddler through tween. There are gentle, zero-depth splash areas for little ones and bigger slides (with height minimums) for older kids. Keep toddlers and non-swimmers in the shallow areas with a life vest.
