Kid Fun started as one Houston mom keeping a running list of where to take her own kids, and that is still the whole idea. Every week I dig through park websites, library calendars, and venue pages so you do not have to, then write it all down in one place. This page is the shortcut: a curated map to the guides Houston families open again and again, sorted by what you are actually trying to solve. Bored kids and a free Saturday. A 100-degree afternoon. When you want free or nearly free

Some of the best days out in Houston cost nothing but gas and snacks. These are our most-used free guides, the ones we lean on when payday is still a week away.
